The Past

Print Cloths had extremely humble beginnings, in a sixteen by fourteen foot garage, a dozen wipes we got on tick, and use of an elderly Ford Fiesta car for sales and deliveries. Our first customer in 1991 rented one bag a month, but was fortunately followed by many more in the west of Scotland.

Early in 1992 we became a Limited company and moved to a small 1500 square foot unit in East Kilbride, with one washer, two driers and a small effluent plant. Ever increasing environmental legislation and competition made for an interesting period and in 1996 we moved, to a much larger 15,000 sq foot unit.

The Present

During 2008 we took over the adjoining four units which gave us 60,000 sq feet and allowed us to build our new multi million pound plant, which was commissioned in spring 2009.

Our new plant allows us not only to recycle printers’ wipes, but with our Waste Transfer Licence it allows us to sort, and/or recover where possible waste such as oily rags, pads and booms etc.

The plant is highly automated and items for recycling are checked and passed through a metal detector before packing.

Our new plant was designed to be as environmentally friendly as possible and with our entire computer controlled hiteck plant, we can now recover most of the water we use and extract any pollutants before they reach the atmosphere.
